Games Night

Last Thursday we all had a blast hosting an event in the Glasgow University Union, where we played many fun games!

We gave out many prizes to some lucky winners, including vouchers from the very generous Absurd Bird restaurant and Hug n Pint.

A flying start to 2019 with a competitive paper airplane showdown.

Some unexpected flight also arose from an intense balloon relay race

The whole team very much enjoyed putting on these games for everyone who joined, however we were a little sad we couldn't join in on all of them.

hard at work creating the next Eiffel tower from spaghetti and marshmallows

We kicked the night off with the balloon relay race, which led to some high speed collisions with the floor. After that we tested everyone's architectural skills to see who could build the tallest standing tower from spaghetti and marshmallows. The flexibility of the room was then contended by the cereal box game, in which you must pick up a cardboard box off the floor without using your hands or letting your knees touch the floor. The box is ripped after each round, which lead to some interesting stretches.

Another two relay races kept people moving, as they passed an orange to each other held under their neck. A hula hoop was also passed down a human chain.

We finished things off with a Winter Olympic curling style game to see who could slide a coin closest to a bottle of whiskey, a very grand final prize.

We would like to thank everyone that came along, showed support and enjoyed the games with us, and we hope to see you all and many more in events to come!

Many thanks from the thailand team!
