Week 2 of our Walk the Width Challenge over and done with! Wow! The team managed to add 202.55 km to our total this week, meaning that we are 417.5 km across the width of Thailand. After some not so careful calculations, we believe we are roughly halfway across Nakhon Ratchasima; a mostly rural north-eastern province in Thailand distinguished by its Lao cultural influences. We have 362.5 km left to go in our quest to Walk The Width of Thailand and you can still sponsor us by donating to our GoFundMe here.
Our team have really been pulling together to complete this challenge in order to fund our research, which is set to begin in less than 2 months! If you want to know what the challenge is all about you can find our first blog post here: Walk The Width.
What we believe to be our current rough theoretical location
So, what have the team been up to?
Ashlynn has been in Berlin this week so check out the gallery below to see where she has been (and maybe feel as jealous as the team members who have been stuck in Glasgow):

And Paula has been in Romania visiting both Bucharest and Brașov:

The rest of the team have been in Glasgow. On Monday, Jennifer and Kerensa walked 12 km through and around Kelvingrove park, ending up at an ice cream van after having spent ten minutes hunting for (and successfully locating) a woodpecker. We believe this to be the elusive woodpecker that Laura mentioned in her Diary Entry blog earlier this week. If you didn't get a chance to read about how Laura is finding the challenge, her blog can be found here: Walk The Width - Diary 2: Laura.

Several furry friends have been involved in our Walk The Width challenge so far, and they have been receiving the attention they deserve on our Instagram stories, but for all you non-Instagram users out there, don't fret! We will be posting a special blog dedicated to the dogs who helped our team get through this challenge towards the end of the month so they can receive the appreciation they deserve.
As we begin Week 3 of the Walk The Width challenge, we can't wait to see what the team gets up to. It looks like we will have two Diary Entry blogs this week so you can hear from the team members themselves and see how they are finding the challenge. While spring cleaning, one team member has discovered a book entitled "25 Walks In And Around Glasgow" so this challenge looks like its about to step up! If you are as excited as we are for everything that is coming up, you can donate to our GoFundMe here and give the team the motivation they need to get out of the library and into the wonderful spring streets of Glasgow.
P.S: Happy Easter and Happy Pesach from everyone on the Thailand Team 2022
